The school board and staff at Round Grove Christian Academy are very used to this question. In fact, it is so common that it makes some of them grin. This grin comes in remembering how this private Christian school started. In 1997 a few members of the Round Grove Baptist Church had a vision of a Christian school at their church. The vision was committed to prayer by several people at church and in the community. After much discussion and prayer, the first class at RGCA opened in the fall of 1998.
In October 1998 RGCA began with six preschoolers in attendance. Every year the school sought God's direction in which classes to add at what time. Now for the 2007-2008 school year the school has approximately 105 students enrolled preschool through 8th grade. A school in the middle of the country can only have that kind of growth by the grace of God. That's what causes the grin when the question of where we are located is asked.
RGCA teaches God's principles on a daily basis. The school uses mostly ABEKA for it's curriculum which challenges the students to reach high academic goals. Each week the students meet together for chapel with our pastor and worship leader. The students also enjoy extra activity times of art, music, library , computer, and P.E. Standardized testing is given in the spring to keep us accountable to the objectives and standards that we have set for our students.
Round Grove Christian Academy is accepting applications for new students for the 2007-2008 school year. We are thankful to God for blessing our school this year with great students and teachers. Our expectations are high again in the coming school year for our students and staff academically and spiritually. Most of all RGCA wants to honor Christ in all we do.
